Invite a team member
Last updated April 11, 2026 · by the AdminDex team
AdminDex lets you share access to your instances with collaborators. Each team member sees your instances on their own dashboard with a "Shared" badge. You control what they can do via two roles: Admin (full edit access) and Member (read-only).
Before you start
- Team members are a paid feature. Pro plans get 3 seats. Agency plans get unlimited seats. Free and Starter plans don't include team features.
- The invitee doesn't need an AdminDex account yet — they can register after clicking the invite link. The invite is tied to the email address you enter, so they must register with that exact email.
- Invitations expire after 24 hours. If the invitee misses the window, you'll need to revoke and re-invite.
Steps
- Click Team in the top navigation. (If you're on Free or Starter, you'll see an upgrade prompt instead.)
- In the Add a team member form, enter the invitee's email address.
- Pick a Role: Admin can edit settings and manage API keys; Member is read-only (browse documents and view analytics).
- Click Send invitation. We email the invite link to that address AND show you the link on the next page so you can copy it directly.
- The invitee clicks the link, registers (or logs in if they already have an account with that email), and is added to your team. You'll see their row move from Pending to Active on your team page.
What happens next
Active team members see your instances listed alongside their own on the dashboard, marked with a "Shared · Admin" or "Shared · Member" indigo chip. They can open any shared instance and use it according to their role.
Revoke a team member
- From the Team page, find the member you want to revoke.
- Click the red × button on the right side of their row.
- Confirm the revocation in the prompt.
Their access is removed immediately — your instances disappear from their dashboard on the next page load.
Tips
- Pending invites don't consume seats. Only Accepted seats count against your plan limit. So you can invite 5 people on a 3-seat plan and the first 3 to accept get in.
- If an invite link is lost, the only way to recover access is to revoke the pending invitation and send a new one. We never display the raw token after the initial create page.
- The Admin role grants edit access on settings, API keys, and the task viewer. Member role grants browse + analytics only — no settings, no keys, no task log.
